Audio files (preferably MP3) are to be supplied to Printingasia along with PDF's to complete your sound printing project. The files can be generated in a recording studio or via numerous computer programs such as Goldwave.
Along with your PDF's we require laser proofs which will serve as a script indicating where each sound file will be placed on the printed product.
During the printing process the codes are embedded into the elected position and linked to your audio which is then downloaded onto the Jackal Audio Reader. |
The Jackal Audio Reader is an electronic audio device with built in sensor, speakers, 1GB flash memory, headphone output, USB connectivity for downloading audio files and 2 x AAA Batteries. It recognises only with Printingasia enabled material.
When you direct the tip of the reader to any coded area on a page, the sensor detects the code and plays back the corresponding audio file.
You can segment the audio corresponding to a word, line, sentence, page and even images. As you position the Jackal Audio Reader over coded material, it activates the pre-loaded audio files, so that the user is also able to hear the text they are reading.
Printingasia enabled books do not require any special ink for printing. When you send us the PDF's of your book, we embed a transparent code into the file at the pre-determined locations you have selected.
This code is not visible to the naked eye and is printed in concert with the text, without the need for special inks.
Once you have a Printingasia enabled book, you are able to download onto the Jackal Audio Reader via the USB, the audio files for the book, from a CD or Website.
A Jackal Audio Reader with a 1GB Memory can hold over 30 hours of audio at MP3 quality. |
